My deepest condolences to the family. Coach Fithian is at the top of my list as one of my greatest coaches. My understanding of team work and hard work came from him. I've played many different sports in my life and coach my boys in baseball for many years. But, when I need inspiration and team motivation, I reach for coach Fithian's teaching. Proud to have been part of his 1980 championship team.
