Obituary of Minnie S. Fountain

Minnie Fountain, age 92 of Pennsville, NJ passed away on November 12, 2015 at home with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Herman Fountain (1987), her parents , Otto and Emma Steenkin. Also three sisters, Margaret McNeal, Florence Bildstein and Gladys Klimowicz, two brothers, Otto and Herman Steenkin. Minnie is survived by her daughter, Betty Gant and her husband, Bill, twin grandsons, Bill Gant and his wife Jamie from Lebanon, OH and Bob Gant of Pennsville, three great grandsons, Austin, Wyatt and Mason which she was so proud of all of them. She graduated from Preston Maryland High School and worked at the DuPont Nylon Co. of Seaford, DE. Most of her life she was a homemaker, loved to play cards and enjoyed trips to Maryland to see her relatives and eat some good crabs. She looked forward to her birthdays, when nieces and friends came to celebrate with her. Minnie was known for saying exactly what was on her mind, held nothing back. She fought a long hard Battle with her COPD disease until the end The family would like to acknowledge her caregivers, Becky, Linda, Toni, Tiffany, Amanda and her nurse JoAnn. Minnie loved them all. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday November 16, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Home, Health and Hospice 310 Salem-Woodstown Rd. 2nd Floor, 2 East, Salem.
