Obituary of Doris J. Shimp

Doris J. Shimp, A proud 84, of Pennsville, NJ passed away peacefully on November 20, 2015. She's now reunited with the love of her life George. Predeceased by her son, Steven and brothers Arnold and Ralph Baldwin. Doris was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family. She possessed a contagious smile and a kind loving heart to match. She enjoyed needle work, traveling, games and colored pencil art. She especially enjoyed family gatherings of all sorts. A member of the Chansey Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are son Bruce Shimp (Annette) of Wilmington, DE. Daughters, Jean Ecret (Frank-her favorite) of Twonsend, DE. Karen Breymeier (Joe) of Mt. Laurel, NJ. Kathy Dawson (Cary) of Marlton, NJ. Granchildren, Francine Smith, Frank Ecret III, Nicole Nichols, Alana Norman, Julie Queen, Katie Zielinski, Steve Shimp Jr., Colleen Githens, Marissa, Joey and David Breymeier, Brittany Dawson. Great Granchildren, Joshua, Brook, Amber, Gabriel, Jordyn, JC, Christian, Olivia, George, Scotty and Eden. Sister, Joyce Ruhl (Ron) Sister in Law Amy Silver (Aaron) Alice Dunkelberger and Barbara Shimp. Brother in Law Lester Shimp (Barbara) and numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday November 25, at the Cohansey Baptist Church where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. There will also be a viewing Tuesday Nov. 24, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville.
