Ernest W. Hathaway, age 82 of Pennsville died Sunday January 24, 2016 at the home of his daughter Margo Burke and the rest of his loving family. Ernie was born in Deepwater, NJ and was the son of John F. and Sadie N. Richie Hathaway. He was a lifelong Pennsville resident.
He was employed as a foreman for the DuPont Chambers Works, Deepwater where he retired in 1991 following 38 years service. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran. He loved NASCAR, Philadelphia Eagles, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survived by his daughter, Margo M. Burke and her husband Bernie, sisters, Elaine and Shirley Hathaway of Pennsville, grandchildren, Matthew J. Burke and Kyle E. Burke of Pennsville.
Predeceased by his wife Laura Virginia Vandersllice Hathaway (2011), Son, Ernest W. Hathaway, Jr., sisters, Hattie Hathaway, Naomi McCullough, Mary June Hathaway.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
