My therapy dog, Gracie, and I visit Southgate nearly every day as my daughter was in the room right next to Geneva. Gracie went into Geneva's room every visit to say hello - even when she was sleeping. When Geneva was up and using her walker, she would save cookies for Gracie, and would give her a treat when she would see us. Geneva would stroke Gracie's fur and say, "i just love this dog - and she loves me, too." It was the truth! Gracie will miss Geneva and I will, too. We saw her the morning before she passed and she gave Gracie a weak smile, and reached out to pet her. We will fondly remember dear Geneva.
