Delores L. Shaw, age 89 of Pennsville died suddenly at her home on Wednesday October 28, 2020. She was born on April 1, 1931 in Bridgeton, NJ and was the daughter of the late Anias and Dewey Hammond Dilks. She married the love of her life Calvin Shaw and they enjoyed many happy and fun years together.
Delores worked as a seamstress for many years and when she retired she babysat for many children who loved her and called her mom mom which having no children of her own was so very special to her.
Delores was predeceased by her husband Calvin Shaw, her brother, Richard Hutton, and her sister, Cathy Dilks Laudeman. She is survived by her brother Jerry and sister in law Paula Dilks of FL, sister in law Ann Hutton of AZ and many nieces nephews, and lifelong friends, Ginny and Wayne Tiedeman who spent many hours together with her.
One of the real loves Delores had was (Granddaughter & Artist) Lauren Williams of DE. She was so very proud of her and loved her so much. She will be missed by her family and friends. Delores was very active (didn't believe in naps) and she was always out and about doing something or just visiting friends.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday November 4th at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, 719 Salem-Woodstown Rd., Route 45, Pilesgrove, NJ.
