It is with great sadness to announce that Thomas R. Ottinger passed away on April 19th at his home in Salem, NJ. Tom was born in Salem, NJ to Frederick and Janie Ottinger on October 7th, 1952 and was a lifelong resident of Salem County. He graduated from Pennsgrove High School and spent his career "fixing" things. He retired in 2019 from BASF in Newport, DE as Boilermaker. He was a faithful member of Harvest Time Worship Center, where he celebrated his relationship and faith in his Lord Jesus. He never met a stranger and was dearly loved by all who knew him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His passion was his family and his pets, especially his "shadow", Waldo. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ruth Ann, his daughters Kellie, Tracy and Toni, his granddaughter and best buddy Samantha, 10 siblings, Amy, Celine, Charlie, Henry, Judy, Luke, Mark, Mary, Michael and Robert and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be forever loved and remembered by all those whose lives he touched. A memorial service will be held at a future date to commemorate his life as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, sister, uncle and friend. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
