Obituary of Richard W. Klessel, Sr.

Richard W. "Pop" Klessel, Sr., age 68 of Pennsville, NJ died Monday May 3, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Mannington Township and was the son of the late Edward C. Klessel, Sr. and Elazibeth Thomas Klessel. Richard was a lifelong Pennsville resident and a 1971 graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School.
He was employed as a mechanic at the DuPont Chambers Works where he retired following many years service.
Survived by a son, Richard W. Klessel, Jr., brothers, Edward C. Klessel, Jr., and David W. Klessel, and his wife Carol sister, Peggy J. Barnaba, and her husband Bruce and a granddaughter, Taylor E. Klessel.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by a brother, Gary C. Klessel.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Monday May 10th at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the East View Cemetery, Salem, NJ.
