Eleanor V. Meyer, resident of Pennsville, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home on October 28, 2021 at the age of 95. She was born on August 22, 1926, to James and Mary Climaldi in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School. Eleanor held numerous jobs from secretary at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia (during WWII) to realtor, but her favorite job was being grandmother and great grandmother. To her loved ones, she was known as Cookie and Memom.
Eleanor predeceased by her husband William D. Meyer (1991), and her daughter Barbara Meyer in (1962). She is survived by her two sons, William R. (Cathy) Meyer and Richard (Angie) Meyer, three grandchildren, Lauren M. (Christopher) Jones, Richard W. Meyer, Zachery R. Meyer and one great grandson Tiernan G. Jones.
Eleanor was a fun-loving woman that lived the life she loved. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, visiting the Wildwood beaches and playing the coin combo slot machine at Delaware Park.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the viewing at Laughrey Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, from 7 to 9:00 PM. Other services will be private for immediate family only.
