Obituary of Shirley A. Townsend

Shirley A. Townsend, age 83 of Pennsville, died Tuesday May 24, 2022 at the Geisinger Hospital in Danville, PA. She was born in Salem, NJ and was the daughter of late Ausby W. Samuels, Sr. and Frances Mae Ludlam Samuels. Shirley was lifelong Salem County resident. Survived by her children, Patricia Fisher Creasy (Ernie), daughter-in-law, Sharon Fisher, Ralph Fisher (Natalie), Beverly Fisher Plazio (Mark), Bridget Fisher Williams, Wade Fisher (Donna), Pam Townsend and Ron Townsend, brothers, Ausby Samuels, Jr., Eugene Samuels, Ronald Samuels (Karen), Duane Samuels (Vickie), Bruce Samuels (Anitra), grandchildren, Tiffanie Creasy Fowler (Dave), Heather Creasy Hyatt, Rodney Fisher (Rosie), Joshua Fisher (Alexis), Nicole Fisher (JJ), Ryan Fisher, Jennifer Gray Keister (JD), Ralph Fisher, Jr. (Melanie), Randy Fisher, Tammi Garrison (Jimmie), Jason Presnell (Dawn), Shannon Presnell (Ben), Dominic Plazio (Danielle), Christi Jo Fisher (Gus), Andrew Williams (Corri), Ali Williams Cox (Brian), Stephanie McGaw, Brittany Fisher (Billy), Luke Fisher (Alex), Justin Przybycien, and Connor Townsend, and Corinna Hazleton (Thomas), 39 great Grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her Husband, Emory Townsend, son, Rodney W. Fisher, sister, Pauline Janet Samuels Eller, brother, Raymond Samuels and a sister-in-law Bonnie Samuels. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday May 31st at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown, NJ.
