We worked with Doug for many years at Advoserv. He loved sports (baseball in particular, Phillies to be specific) & parties. Every year we would have a great party for him at his Mom's house. There would be swimming, grilled hamburgers, lots of friends, Benji the dog & always a cake! I enjoyed bringing potato salad to add to the menu. Another fond memory...One day, late in the Summer, Doug woke up and started saying something we didn't quite understand. He kept saying "splitters" "I want splitters". We tried to understand but really couldn't make out just what he was trying to communicate to us. If you knew Doug, you know that he becamse more and more animated as the day went on and really came to life after the sun went down, he was sort of a night owl. After an entire day of just saying "splitters" he finally communicated to us he needed, " a cable splitter so that his roommate could also have the Phillies on his TV". That right there tells you everything you need to know about Doug, he was a soft spoken man with an extra large heart, who loved baseball, was a #1 Phillies fan, and was thoughtful enough to want everyone to enjoy the Phillies as well. RIP Doug.

Some of my best memories include Dougie at Halloween parties and family picnics, which his mom always attended. He had great family support. I hope the staff and his friends at Advoserv helped him live his best life, I truly think they did!
