Obituary of Bessie M. Waluska

Bessie Marie Waluska, age 93, of Pennsville, NJ, passed away on February 22, 2024, at Inspira Hospital in Mullica Hill. She was married for 68 years to Frank. A Waluska who passed four years ago. Also predeceased by her son, Tyrone and her parents Thomas G and Lizzie (Lamb) Samuels, along with brothers Malcolm, Mannie, Ausby, Owen, Wilson and sisters Ethel Smith, Helen Horner, Ruth Mathis, Mildred Leonard, and Edith Samuels. She has one surviving son, Erik, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and many nieces, and nephews.
Bessie worked at Mannington Mills and DuPont's but was better known for her art. She painted a very popular collection of Delaware Bay lighthouses and displayed her art at the Riverview Inn and other popular eating places along the waterfront. She delighted in feeding the many species of wildlife that visited her backyard and pond. Always smiling and gentle, always busy doing something in her yard. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 1, at 11 am.
