Rita A Shields age 65 of Pennsville, NJ passed away June 1st, 2024, at Christiana hospital.
She was born in Franklin PA and was the daughter of the late Patricia A Whitman Dunaway and Jack Boyd York. Rita was a longtime resident of Pennsville NJ who enjoyed going to the VFW to catch up with friends and helping out with her many grandchildren.
She was employed at the Sunoco plant in Deptford, NJ as a security guard for many years.
She is survived by her husband William D. "Bill" Shields, her children Melissa, and Hartley Turner (Heather), brothers, James Dunaway (Cyndi) David Dunaway, and Richard Dunaway, Grandchildren, Jacey, Breanna, Connor, Abigail, Elijah, Kora ,Kendall and Brody and many nieces.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM on Wednesday June 12th at the Finn's Point National Cemetery, Pennsville, NJ.
