Obituary of David R. McMahon

David R. McMahon age 81 of Pennsville formerly of Mannington Township passed away on Tuesday June 18, 2024 at the Inspira Medical Center Vineland after a brief illness. Dave was born in Woodbury, NJ to the late Elsie Mootz McMahon and Walter McMahon. After graduating from Woodbury High School Dave served in the United States Army, He worked as a Union Electrician and was a member of the IBEW Local 351 for 55 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, animal lover and a dedicated wildlife preservationist, Dave supported numerous related charities during his lifetime. He loved to travel, especially to Maine. He enjoyed the beach, Philadelphia sports, fast cars, NASCAR, and spending time surrounded by those he loved at his former home, the "Lady Bug Farm" in Mannington Township. Behind that "Big Roar" was the heart of a gentle giant -a heart that mentored and influenced those who loving referred to him as "Uncle Dave". Survived by his beloved longtime girlfriend Mary Ann Boucher, sister, Linda Grant (Bill) of FL, aunts, Ruth Gellenthin (DOAR) and Bert Stevens, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday June 29th at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ where friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 prior to the service. Burial will be private.
