Mildred Evelyn Rowand, 92, formerly of Pennsville died on January 19, 2012 in Friends Village, Woodstown. Born in Salem, daughter of the late Charles and Cora (Pierce) Brown, she had lived in Pennsville for most of her life until moving to Woodstown a year ago. Mrs. Rowand attended schools in Deepwater and Salem, Class of 1937. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist where she had been active with the Star Circle for many years. A homemaker, she loved to travel having visited all 50 states and various countries on 3 continents. Surviving are three sons, Raymond C. "Butch" (and his companion Linda), Gary L. (Gail) and Robin E. (Jean); eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Raymond B. Rowand in 1999. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday Jan. 24th at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial services will be private at Lawnside Cemetery.
