William Carl Elliott, age 83 of Pennsville, NJ passed away Tuesday February 21st, 2012. He was born in Pennsville, NJ and was the Son of the late Sara Davis Elliott and Howard Elliott. He was employed as an assemblyman at Chrysler Corporation where he retired in 1988 at the age of 59. He was a WWII and Korean War Veteran of the Army. He was an avid Phillies fan and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Survived by his sisters Alberta Collier and Sara (Emilie) Adams, two sons William Carl Jr. of Pennsville, Christopher J. and his wife Diane of Bethlehem, PA, three grandchildren Matthew, Kyle and Shea, and long-time companion Jean Collier. Predeceased by his wife Jeanne DiMarzio Elliott (1991), his brothers Howard, Archie, Walter, Charlie and sister Barbara Raine. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM on Sat. Feb. 25th, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ where friends may call Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery, Penns Grove, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested gifts be made in Carl's memory to support the cure for Alzheimers.
