Dottie L. Acton, age 71 of Pennsville passed away on Monday May 13, 2013, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Salem and was the daughter of the late John R. and stepmother Elsie Bruce. Dottie was a lifelong Salem County resident.
Survived by her husband of 54 years Jack H. Acton, sons John E. Acton and his wife Julie and Greg A. Acton and his wife Maryann of Pennsville, sister, Edith Davenport and her husband Robert of Carneys Point, grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin, Emily and Jacob and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by a brother, Jack Bruce and a sister, Alma Webb.
Dottie loved caring for her family and enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, fishing, camping and auction sales.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Dottie's life on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville.
In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Pennsville VFW Post 1952, 171 S. Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070.
