Robert T. Maahs, Sr., 79 of Pennsville died Wednesday June 26, 2013 at the Christiana Hospital. He was born in Philadelphia and was the son of the late Alfred and Margaret Potts Maahs. Robert was a longtime Pennsville resident.
He was employed as a chemical operator for the DuPont Chambers Works, Deepwater where he retired following over 40 years service. Robert was a coach with the Pennsville Midget Football and Babe Ruth Baseball for many years and an Army Veteran.
Survived by his loving wife of over 54 years Eileen M. Maahs, and a son, Robert T. Maahs and his wife Carol of Bloomington, IN and a granddaughter, Macy Maahs, brother, Alfred Maahs, sisters, Dorothy Moore of Berlin, NJ, and Maryemma Cook of Woodstown, daughter in law, Lori E. Chapman-Maahs.
Predeceased by a son Bruce P. Maahs (2013).
Friends may call Thursday July 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville burial will be private.
