Amelia C. Parker, age 97, of Pennsville, NJ died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in Burlington, NJ. Millie, as she was known to many, was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Amelia Kraus Coley and William P. Coley. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles R. Parker who died in July 1980, and by her brothers, Daniel and William. She grew up in Collingswood, NJ and resided in Pennsville for over 60 years. In earlier years, she was a school bus driver in the Pennsville School District. Mrs. Parker was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church of Carneys Point and a member of the church's bell choir for many years. She also was a member of the Penns Grove Chapter of the Eastern Star, the Pennsville Women's Club, and the Salem County Sportsmen's Club. She was a Phillies fan and enjoyed the NJ beaches. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, C. Ronald and Phyllis Parker of Florence, NJ and a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Charles Dilks of Brigantine, NJ; three grandchildren: David (Tamara) Parker of Annandale, VA, Jeff (Heather) Parker of Haddon Twp., NJ, and Michele Biordi of Fairless Hills, PA; and eight great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Michael, Abigail, Aaron, Daniel, Luke and Clara Parker and Evan Biordi. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and their families, including Jean and Tom Shustack of New Castle, DE. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 9 at the Laughrey Funeral Home, 1 North Broadway, Pennsville, NJ from 10 to 11 am, followed by funeral services officiated by Rev. Christopher Doyle of the Union Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Locustwood Memorial Park, 1500 Route 70 West, Cherry Hill, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Presbyterian Church, 254 Shell Road, Carneys Point, NJ 08069.
