I am so sorry for your family's loss. What a wonderful woman! I had the priviledge of getting to know Shirley in the cafeteria of Salem hospital. I looked forward to seeing her in the mornings when I was getting a hot cup of coffee, or at lunch as I was deciding on lunch for the day.She always had a smile, kind word or a laugh. It's just not the same without her. She will be surely missed by all here at the hospital.

We can’t begin to put into words how truly sorry we are to hear of Mom Kardos’ passing. To say she will be missed is such an understatement. The love she had for her family was remarkable, and reflected in her eyes and smile whenever she talked about one of her children or grandchildren, or when she was in their presence. Mom was always the first to be there to help anyone, always putting others first, and when she thought of it, then would take care of herself. She had such a wonderful, amazing, outgoing personality, which was handed down to each one of her children and grandchildren. While we can’t understand why this happened, nor know why God chose her to become one of his heavily angel’s, we do know he choosen one of the best to be counted among his heavenly family. A mother’s love is never gone; it is left to live on in our hearts. May all the stories, memories, and photos shared with you help to ease some of your pain. To be part of this amazing women’s life and family was such a wonderful gift which we will always cherish. May that love always remain in your heart. Until we met again my friend, may God hold you in the palm of his hand! We are here for you all. Always in our hearts, thoughts and prayers, Bill & Mary Murphy.

My mom was so many things wrapped up into one loving mother. She was a warm cuddly hug and she was sunshine in the rain. Mom loved us so well during her life. I can only pray to be as good a mother, as she was such a wonderful role model. She had a hug for everyone, and anyone who ever met her could truly feel her genuine loving nature and could see her nurturing personality. My family and I will love her always, and keep her in our hearts forever. Love so so much Mommy.
