Obituary of William G. Moore, Sr.

William G. Moore Sr. of Pennsville, NJ, died peacefully on Sunday January 5th surrounded by his family. He was born in Bankston, Alabama to the late Addie and W.A. Moore. A member of the first graduating class of Pennsville Memorial High School in 1959, Bill was a standout athlete. After high school he attended Wake Forrest University on a football scholarship. He married Adele Simkins Moore in 1961. Bill was a laboratory supervisor at the DuPont Chambers Works for over 30 years. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, trap shooting and sports. He was a member of the DuPont trap shooting team and served as a coach for Pennsville Midget Football and Pennsville Little League. He enjoyed summers at his beach house in Delaware, but most of all Bill loved spending time with his family. One of the great joys of his life was watching his grandson, Griffin, play baseball. Bill is survived by Adele his wife of 52 years, children Michelle Baron (Steve), Bill Moore (Jackie), Melissa Zilinski (Brian) and grandsons Griffin Moore and Zane Zilinski. A private service will be held on January 8th.
