Obituary of Pasquale DiMichele
Please share a memory of Pasquale to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Pasquale DiMichele, of Pennsville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, February 17, 2014, with his loving son at his side. He was 89. He was the eldest son born of the late Giuseppe DiMichele and Teresa DePatre DiMichele in Cellino Attanasio, Teramo, Abruzzo, Italy. He and his family immigrated from Italy to the United States in 1969 in search of a better life. He never asked for anything but an opportunity and, through a very strong work ethic and countless sacrifices, he took advantage of America's opportunities and he successfully achieved the American Dream.
He and his family eventually settled in Pennsville in 1978. He worked in construction for A. Clemente, Inc., in Carneys Point, New Jersey, for 21 years before retiring in 1990. He was passionate about his work and spent the majority of his time gardening and growing vegetables. He was very kind and giving man who took pride in sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. Although our faith reminds us that he is in a much better place, all those who knew him are left with the anguish of knowing that he is no longer here to bring us happiness and with an emptiness in their heart knowing that he can no longer enrich their lives. He was very proud of all that he was able to accomplish and he took great pride in raising his loving family. We know that he will continue to look down on us and we will continue to strive to make him proud.
Riposare in pace!
Pasquale is survived by his two sons, Giovanni DiMichele, husband of Rosaria DiMichele, and Giuseppe DiMichele; husband of Kathy DiMichele; his four grandchildren, Roberto DiMichele, Christina DiMichele Lankford, Marco DiMichele, Renee DiMichele Baron; his great-grandchildren, Kayla Lankford, Alexa Lankford, and Jaxon Lankford; his brother, Giovanni DiMichele; and his sisters, Lellina Catini, Ginetta DiMichele, Amaglia Giancroce, and Gemma Pellegrini.
