Obituary of William Irvin Hoyman

William Irvin Hoyman, Sr., age 86 of Pennsville passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday April 9, 2014. He was born in Meyersdale, PA and was the son of the late Ralph and Ida DuVall Hoyman. Bill was a longtime Pennsville resident. He was employed as a foreman at the former General Motors Assembly Plant in Newport, DE where he retired. Following retirement from General Motors he enjoyed playing golf and poker with friends. Survived by his wife of 66 years Mary Kuhnle Hoyman whom he met at the Philadelphia Navy yard while both were serving in the Navy, Son, William Hoyman Jr. (Sherry) of Cape Coral, FL, Daughter, Jan Stephens (Mark) of Pennsville, Grandchildren, Brittany Madden (Kenard), and Bret Hankins. The Light of his days, his great grandchildren, Joshua and Jason Hankins, Kenard and Kayla Madden, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Ralph and Frank, sisters Ruth and Emma.
