Sarah "Sally" Pitts Rankin, 79, went to be with the Lord on September 5, 2014. Born in Mannington, NJ, Sally was the daughter of the late Otis & Francis Sparks. She served as a cook for the Mannington Township School for several years.
She enjoyed baking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her first husband Frank N Pitts, sons, Louis C Pitts and Anthony J Pitts. Sally is survived by her husband Marvin D Rankin of LAC, daughter MaryAnn McCaffery of Pennsville, grandchildren, David (Amber) Sowers, Shannon (Jeff) Beardsley, Kimberly Reyes, all of LAC and Brendan McCaffery of Pennsville, 9 great grandchildren, sister, Lois (Horace) Siebert, brothers, Mayhew Sparks, Richard (Jane) Sparks, & Robert Sparks, stepdaughters, Lynn (Bill) Berry & Judy (John) Bradway, step granddaughter Jackson Bradway.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday September 9, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Burial will be at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
