Kenneth J. Thomas age 83 of Pilesgrove died Wednesday November 12, 2014, at the Elmer Hospital. He was born in Alloway and was the son of the late George Thomas and Katherine Jackson. Raised by his grandparents Ira and Winifred Clark Jackson. Ken was a lifelong Salem County resident.
He was employed as an operator for the Anchor Hocking Glass in Salem where he retired following 40 years of service. Following retirement he worked at Cowtown as a security guard. He loved farming, boating, and fishing and enjoyed riding his 4 wheeler.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Pamela Mills, Kathy Rodriquez, Sharon Kates, and Denise McCarthy and his longtime companion Verna B. McCarson.
Predeceased by a sister, Shirley Schwartz.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday November 17, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends and family may call Sunday evening 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Burial will be at the Fernwood Cemetery, Bridgeton. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
