Elwood L. Gorman, Jr. age 86 of Pennsville went home to be with the Lord on Friday February 25, 2011 at the Largo Medical Center, FL. He was born in Pitman and was the son of the late Elwood L. Sr. and Nodie E. Fletcher Gorman. Elwood was a longtime Pennsville resident. He was employed as an operator for the DuPont Chambers Works, Deepwater where he retired 1987 following 43 years service. He enjoyed playing bingo and spending winters in Florida. Survived by his daughters, Pudge Kiker and husband Ed of Pleasantville, Chris Fancher of Pennsville. Paula J. Hofacker and husband Jim of Pennsville and Karen Mulford and husband Dave of Bear, DE., brother, Warren Gorman and wife Doris of Pitman, sister, Ellen Worrell and husband Ken of Port Richie, FL., 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Ruth Paulson Gorman (2004), son, Elwood and daughter Dona Gorman, brothers, Charles, Raymond, and Benny Gorman, sisters, Clara Forbes, Bernice VanHess, Harriet Williams, son-in-law, James M. Fancher, Jr. and a grandson and James M. Fancher, III.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday March 4th at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown.
