Obituary of Mary Jo Janney

Mary Jo Janney, 86 of Newark Delaware passed away on April 07, 2017. Mary Jo Craddock (Janney} was born in Pax, West Virginia on March 16, 1931, to Gladness and Emmett Craddock of West Virginia. Mary Jo was married to David L. Janney on August 28, 1948; they were married just 4 months shy of 61 years when David passed away on April 9, 2009. Mary Jo worked as a Supervisor at Gayner Glass Works in Salem NJ for 16 years before leaving to travel with her family. She had a passion for cooking and baking and for the next several years she worked in the food preparation before retiring. In addition to her love of cooking, she enjoyed traveling, (we'd joke that she knew more routes than Rand McNally), her and David have traveled all over the country together, she also enjoyed bingo, playing the slot machines, Nascar, football and family get togethers. Mary Jo is survived by her two sons, David Ray and his wife Valerie and Michael, two grandchildren, Theresa and David E and his wife Jessica, and other family and friends. Mary Jo is preceded in death by her beloved husband David, her mother Gladness, father Emmett and three sisters Della Rose, Jean and Emma Rae. A "Celebration of Life" is planned and the time, date and location will be announced... Funeral arrangements are being handled by Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ.
