Obituary of Barry L. Powers

Barry L. Powers, age 57 of Pennsville died Saturday August 5, 2017 at his residence. Born in Mannington Twp. he was the son of the late Joseph S. Powers, Sr. and Pauline J. Shull Powers. Barry was a lifelong Salem County resident. Survived by his wife Lori (Bradley), daughters, Stephanie Powers, Ashley Rivera and her husband Alex, AdriAnn Bianco and her husband T.J. and a son Barry Powers and his wife Amanda, siblings, Janet Smith and her husband Tim, Joette Sciarra and her husband Chip, Joseph Powers, Jr., LouAnne Zingaro and her husband Jim, Peggy Glenn and her husband Carl and John Powers and his wife Lisa, 5 grandchildren, Alex, Jr., Michael, Jayden, Avella and Da'Layziah, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Barry was predeceased by a sister, Bonnie Young. He was a 1978 graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School, a proud member of the Deepwater Boys Club and an avid fisherman. Barry will be remembered for his big personality and his contagious laugh. He had a love for his cats, dancing and watching western movies and I.D. TV. His family and friends were his life. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Friday Aug. 11th at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call Thursday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and again on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service.
