Obituary of Helen A. Camp

Camp, Helen Adele (Hilditch) Helen Adele Camp (Hilditch), 75, of Pennsville, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2018 at Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia, on July 26, 1942 to Walton James and Elizabeth Catherine (Connelly) Camp, she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, wife and friend. She graduated in 1960 from John Bartram High School in Philadelphia and entered the workforce as a secretary at age 17. She left the workforce upon the birth of her first child in 1962, returning in 1978 as an administrative assistant at Lukens Steel Company in Coatesville, PA. She continued to work as an administrative assistant until her retirement from DuPont Corp. in 2004. Helen was an avid animal lover and enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved rescue dogs. She loved to dance and would often reminisce about the times she and her friends danced on Dick Clark's American Bandstand TV show. She was a long time active member of Lutheran Church of St. Ambrose in Pennsville, NJ. She is survived by her children, William Schoellkopf of Downingtown, PA, Karen Schoellkopf Angeny and husband Grant of Bethlehem, PA, and Tammy Ann Clark and husband Thomas of Pennsville, NJ; her grandchildren, Rebecca Schoellkopf, Eric Angeny and Diana Clark; her sister Bettyanne Kapusniak (Ed) of Thornhurst, PA, brother James Camp (Carol) of Aldan, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her ex-husband of 32 years, Samuel Hilditch, of Pennsville, NJ. Interment will be private. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life on May 12 at 11 am at the Lutheran Church of Saint Ambrose, 443 S. Broadway, Pennsville NJ 08070.
