Obituary of Barbara H. Greco

Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Nov. 6, 2018, Barbara Helen Lockman Greco passed away at the age of 80. Barbara was born in Salem, NJ on Oct. 16, 1938 and was a lifelong resident of Salem County. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Stanslo and Mary Biddle Wygor, sister Ruth Faulhaber and brothers William and Lee. Barbara started working at a very young age and worked at both of the glass manufacturers in Salem, Gaynor Glass and Anchor Hocking. She worked many years as a sales person (and everything in between ) at Marks Family Shoe Store and finished her working years as a office manager at Woodstown Veterinary Hospital where she retired in 2007. She absolutely loved every animal that came through their doors. In fact she often commented that she loved the animals but only tolerated the people. She is survived by husband, Peter J. Greco, Jr., 5 children, Toni Campana and husband Erik of NC, Paul Lockman of FL, Robin Sebell and husband Tom, Lewis Lockman, and Gordon Lockman and wife Vanetta, all of Pennsville. She is also survived by grandchildren David and Michael Shuman, Brooke and Makaila Lockman, Jessica Bartlett Janney (David), Lewis Jr. and Allison Lockman, Jordon Comerford (Alex) and Jullia Lockman, as well as great grandchildren William Shuman, Mollie Newton Clarke, Lewis, Leanne and Lucas Lockman and Gracie Comerford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Barbara's favorite pastimes included boating and camping in her younger years until she developed macular disease, but even with that diagnosis she still managed to do another of her favorite pastimes which was crocheting. But Barbara's biggest love was her family. She loved us, supported us, defended us and at times, scolded us when needed. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for her family. She was happiest when we were all together for family parties and holiday dinners. She was feisty and never backed down from a challenge. Whenever she got knocked back, she would come back even stronger. She was our rock and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3pm at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 2:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Camden (link below) or Salem County Humane Society.
