Obituary of Patsy A. Humphreys

Patsy Ann Burns Humphreys passed away on March 3, 2019 surrounded by her loving family after a long illness and complications of Pneumonia, COPD and a hiatal hernia. Patsy was born in Coalwood, WV on 3/16/1935 to John and Laura Burns. Patsy is survived by her husband Melvin Humphreys of over 50 years. Son Kevin (Jeri) Collins, daughter in law Christina Humphreys, step daughter Ellen Martter, stepson John (Kim) Humphreys 9 grandchildren 8 Great grandchildren many Nephews and Neices. Predeceased by son Mark H. grandson John R. Humphreys III Nephew Bob Conn brothers Edward, John Jr. Roger, Robert, Baker sister Mary Belle Conn. Patsy enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states and 19 foreign countries. She was an avid bowler and skied in her younger days, she also loved girls softball and followed Pennsville girls softball for many years, she then became an excellent poker player. She loved Sunday parties by the pool with all the family. She retired from DuPont Chambers works with 20 years dedicated service as a confidential secretary Funeral Services will be held 12:00pm on Saturday, March 9th at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 12:00pm prior to the service.
