Obituary of Agnes P. Hite

Agnes Poland Hite, age 88 of Pennsville, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 19th. Agnes was born in Spring Creek, N.C. on June 7th, 1931 to the late Joseph Plemmons and Sophie (Massey) Plemmons. She moved to Salem County in her early 20's and was employed at the Anchor Glass Corporation. Agnes also lived in Arizona, New Mexico, California, Texas, and Tennessee and made friends wherever she went. She is survived by her sister, Wilma Martinides (Tony), brothers Von (Linda) and Don Plemmons; daughters Terri Cobb (Chuck), Kimberly Lockwood (Gary), step-daughter Diana Wells; granddaughters McKenna and Chelsea Lockwood (fiancé Sam McGraw), Shaye Adams, Jessica & Victoria Cobb, great-grandchildren Brady and Kinsley Adams, her loving companion Al Rugh and his family, and her dog Toby. She was predeceased by sister Bertha Raines and brothers Ed and Ted Plemmons. Agnes was an adopted "Granmaw" to many other children through the years and considered them all her family. Agnes requested to be taken back home to North Carolina where she will be laid to rest with her parents and loved ones. She would want to be remembered for her spunk, sass, and humor.
