Joyce E. Sutton (nee Hoover) age 79, lost her battle with lung cancer surrounded by loved ones on October 15, 2020. She was born October 22, 1940 in Harrisonburg, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Howard Hoover and Margaret Rife. She married her longtime friend and love, Robert E. Sutton, in August of 1960 who preceded her in death in 2016.
Joyce is the beloved mother of Kim (Sutton) Wilson (Jerry), Roby (Jackie), and Michael. Loving grandmother of Matthew, Adam, Megan, Saige, Sydnie, Keith, Samantha, and Sabrina. Proud great grandmother of Cohen, Jonah, and Elias.
Joyce was a lifelong resident of Pennsville and graduated from Penns Grove High School. She lived a full life as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker, and friend. Joyce was a strong and independent woman, she wasn't afraid of anyone or anything. She loved to cook, sew, play marbles, and enjoyed her monthly luncheons with her classmates. Most of all she loved her family and she will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 2nd, at Lawnside Cemetery, 896 NJ-45, Woodstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory would be appreciated to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation
